Freedom
Tower or 1 WTC, still in construction will stand about 1,776 feet tall
when its fully completed around 2013. This tower was built in honor of
the fallen ones of 9/11. It will consist of 104 stories which will be
the tallest skyscraper of NYC’s skyline. Its meaning is truly
significant for the NYC’s residents and its American civilian, because
it will represent divine freedom and hope for families who lost much
more than hope, their relatives. It will honor above 2,500 people who
died after the Twin Towers and the rest of World Trade Center came
crushing down to earth. Even though it won’t bring back the fallen ones,
it will help rejoice those injured and family members. It seems that it
was only yesterday, but 11 years have passed since that tragic Tuesday
morning. The innovation of the Freedom Tower began after its final
design was approved by the Port Authority on July 28, 2005. It took time
to get construction running but everything was set up by April 26, 2006
in order to start working on the airframe itself. Its approach to
completion began with a basic cube base followed up by floors-by-
floors. As time passed by adjustments were made unexpected due to safety
issue, so on June 26, 2006 construction was somewhat altered in order
to provide some safety precautions; which was to place the building
three times as far back from the highway as originally drawn up. This
was plan in order to make it less prone to any bomb-laden vehicles that
may approach it That same month more adjustments were made to the
design in order to make it more historical. For example, they added a
feature of a lighted spire at the top of the building to take after the
torch of the Statue of Liberty. But like all projects, you need workers
to help you evolve this project.
The antenna
itself will cost up to $10 million in revenue, but the upside of it is
that it will out beat the owners of the Empire State building by becoming
the city’s radio transmission. So it wouldn't be shocking if that 2.88
billion went up by the end of the project, Not only that, but the cost
for its employees. The amount required to pay its workers lands around
4.66 billion dollars. Right away you could tell that it's no joke, once
the Freedom tower has been completed critics and journalist are going to
have a lot to talk about. Even though its gonna be 6 stories less than
the of the twin towers, its still gonna be consider the tallest building
of the United States, surpassing the Empire State Building by two
stories and Sears Tower in Chicago by 325 ft (99 m). Not only is it
going to benefit the owners of the trade center but the city as well.
Like the old towers before the Freedom Tower, the World Trade Center is
going to be packed with a lot of tourist. This will bring in a lot of
money to any store around its site and the city as well. Just imagine
the gaze of people once they come to a stop under the tower and look up
at its reflection of the sun’s rays as it impacts the side mirrors of
the tower. The excitement of just thinking about it might make you even
shed a tear of joy, to understand and to say that you were there under
that magnificent skyscraper is an honor. Not only does it bring hope but
it brings out a new beginning.
